Celebrate knowing your farmer, baker, and candlestick maker!

The people behind the tables at the Millarville Farmers’ Market are the real deal. They are the growers, farmers, makers, bakers, and artists. Ask them about their farm, their art, their love of what they do.

Thank you for all of your continued support this summer to make for a successful year for all. We are very excited for our 2018 season!

We will be opening the gates and celebrating another season of the Millarville Farmers’ Market June 16th, 2018! Bring your reusable shopping bags, wagons, umbrellas and visitors from out of town for a shopping experience like no other!

We will be continuing the  Market Bucks program for kids 4-12 years.  This new initiative started this past summer season is to get the kids involved in discovering where their food comes from, gaining confidence in conversation with our produce, meat and preserve vendors, making healthy food choices, and hold sole responsibility for maintaining their own punch card-all for a monetary reward that can be spent anywhere within the Millarville Market.  Sign up during your next visit at the information booth located near the concession!  All new participants get their own shopping bag!

The Market hours will remain 9am-2pm. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside, other cool things to do and the two great small towns of Black Diamond, Turner Valley just down the road. Stay awhile, come back often.

The proceeds from your $3.00 admission fee help to support programming at the Millarville Racetrack. Did you know, that we are host to many youth & educational clubs including three 4H Clubs, High Country Pony Club, Sheep Creek Weavers, Paws n’ Effect Agility, Millarville Polocrosse, and Calgary Regional Trail Riders to name a few? In addition, the admission fee helps to offset costs related to grounds and building maintenance. This, in turn, allows the Millarville Racing and Agricultural Society to continue to host one of the largest, oldest, and best outdoor Markets in Alberta.

As per health regulations, dogs are not permitted at the Farmers’ Market.

How can you get a better deal?

We know that everyone likes a deal and saving money. You can purchase an individual, annual membership for as low as $46 in the office. Membership to the MRAS gets you free admission to all 17 Millarville Farmers’ Markets and free admission to all our annual events. We take great pride in the quality of our vendors. Most of these vendors are small business people, farmers, ranchers, orchard owners and craftspeople. In truth, people a lot like you. In May 2018, check out the new list of approved vendors and our soon to come interactive market map!

Think you’ve got a great idea or the right product to make it past Market Manager Mel’s screening process, thereby allowing you the privilege of joining the illustrious ranks of Millarville Farmers’ Market vendors? Well, we’re pulling for you as well. We are an Alberta Approved Farmers’ Market; which means the vendors we have are at LEAST 80% “Make It, Bake It, Grow It in Alberta Market”. If you have a unique product that will enhance the Market, please apply Feb 1st and March 1st, 2018 when the process begins.

We are hosted by the non-profit Millarville Racing & Agricultural Society which has more than 300 members and an additional 300 volunteers providing thousands of hours of time in ensuring our century-old Society can maintain a focal point for their community, the Millarville Racetrack.

We support many community clubs and youth groups, including 4H, and our facilities are rented for weddings, funerals, reunions, and parties. Go to our Rentals & Catering page for more information.
